Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 2 City Commissioner Tony Ortiz invite residents to join them in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, 2023.
This year, the Hispanic Heritage Month national theme is “We Are All, We Are One,” highlighting the diversity inherent within the Hispanic community and helping to strengthen each other with a united vision in partnership to elevate the Hispanic community and our nation.
As a diverse and inclusive community, the City of Orlando celebrates the culture and traditions of U.S. residents who trace their roots to Spain, Mexico, and the Spanish-speaking nations of Central America, South America, and the Caribbean all year long.
In special celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, and the important role art plays within the Hispanic culture, the City of Orlando will host an art exhibition featuring a variety of historical and worldwide dominoes, domino game tables selection of unique, custom, and handmade pieces by Domino USA organization, as well as art pieces from local visual artists dedicated to this renowned family sport. The art exhibition will run from September 8 – November 13, 2023 at the Terrace Gallery at Orlando City Hall.
